Queen Anne’s Lace

Ammi Majus, also known as, False Queen Anne’s Lace, is an annual flowering plant that is native to the Nile River Valley of Egypt. The plant has been known and cultivated since before 2000BC for its medicinal properties which include treating skin ailments. Recently, its medicinal qualities have drawn the attention of medical researchers many of whom now believe that certain parts of the plant may have cancer healing properties. Because of this interest there are now farms in Morocco engaged in the business of growing Ammi Majus to supply the medical research demand. Ammi Majus possesses a great similarity to the wild Queen Anne’s Lace, because of this it is often known as False Queen Anne’s Lace.
